The Ninja's buddy Scott Sigler has a great new horror/thriller novel called CONTAGIOUS. The book hits stores on December 30, 2008, and Scott is also giving away the entire novel as both a serialized, unabridged podcast and as a serialized PDF. The episodes post every Sunday in both forms, and so far the first two episodes are available at scottsigler.com. Scott has twelve posters in all, each on a different blog, and each foreshadowing a key plot element. If you get all twelve and put them together in the right pattern, you get a final clue for the book's big finish. For a list of other blogs hosting a poster, go to www.scottsigler.com/posters. BOOK BLURB: “Contagious is a hard-science horror novel with popcorn-flick flair. From the book jacket: Across America, a mysterious pathogen transforms ordinary people into raging killers, psychopaths driven by a terrifying, alien agenda. The human race fights back, yet after every battle the disease responds, adapts, using sophisticated strategies and brilliant ruses to fool its pursuers. The only possible explanation: the epidemic is driven not by evolution but by some malevolent intelligence.” PODCAST RSS LINK: http://feeds.feedburner.com/scottsigler SERIALIZED PDF RSS LINK: http://feeds.feedburner.com/ContagiousPDF The sites participating in this poster rollout are: Blog of all things cool, BoingBoing http://www.boingboing.net Science-fiction news blog io9.com http://io9.com/ The death-dealing vidcast known as Ask a Ninja http://www.askaninja.com Ring tone and cell-phone content site Myxer http://www.myxer.com/artist/1617678 Indie rock showcase podcast Accident Hash http://accidenthash.com/ Science fiction / fantasy publisher Tor http://www.tor.com Astronomy/science blog and podcast Bad Astronomy http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/badastronomy/ Web marketing guru Chris Brogan http://www.chrisbrogan.com Comedy podcast Keith and the Girl http://www.keithandthegirl.com/ Tech and online culture vidcast Epic-Fu: http://www.epic-fu.com Scott Sigler’s site, home of multiple, free podcast novels http://www.scottsigler.com J.C.
